One year has passed since the Wenchuan earthquake. Looking back sadly, on the vast land, Sichuan, which was reborn after the earthquake, left a string of footprints of moving heaven and earth and magnificent mountains and rivers. This year, we crossed the disaster, rose in danger, and wrote about being strong and rising!
We are gratified to see that Sichuan has not collapsed, its economy has not collapsed, its spirit has not collapsed, and the people of Sichuan have stood up from the ruins with their backs straight.
The shock of broken mountains and rivers
At 14: 28 on May 12, 2008, the clock on Dongqi Square in Hanwang Town, Mianzhu City stopped a rare disaster in history forever.
A strong earthquake of magnitude 8 instantly tore the Longmen Mountains. From Yingxiu, the epicenter, to Qingchuan, Beichuan, Wenchuan, the fault zone stretched for more than 300 kilometers, and the hardest-hit area was 100,000 square kilometers. The mountains and rivers were broken, houses collapsed, roads were blocked, and the splendid land was devastated. In Beichuan, Wenchuan, the home of Tibetan and Qiang people, in Hanwang, Mianzhu, an important industrial town, and Dujiangyan, a tourist resort in Wolong, beautiful homeland was in ruins in the past. The most worrying thing is the separation of flesh and blood and where will you go’s pain. Tens of thousands of relatives were killed in an instant, countless compatriots were in urgent need of rescue in the dangerous buildings and broken walls, and tens of millions of people lost their homes that their ancestors had worked hard for.
Sichuan suddenly faced great disaster, and the Republic suffered national mourning. Disasters have shattered Sichuan, shocked China and shocked the world.
An arduous struggle
The unprecedented disaster affected Zhongnanhai. Party and state leaders rushed to the front line and commanded from the front. The Republic has made great efforts in earthquake relief. "No difficulty can defeat the heroic people of China!" "As long as there is a glimmer of hope, we must do our best!" The strong voice of one heart and one mind to overcome the difficulties shocked the mountains and rivers, and the feelings of people-oriented and governing for the people warmed people’s hearts!
The disaster is the order, and the emergency rescue is urgent. Party committees and governments in disaster areas acted quickly, party member cadres stepped forward, people in disaster areas stood up to save themselves, and rescue forces from all sides advanced at full speed. Under the banner of Gao Yang’s Party, Party organizations at all levels bravely took responsibility for rescuing people and became a strong fortress to lead the masses. 130,000 soldiers leapt thousands of miles and built the Great Wall of Steel with flesh and blood to save the people from danger; Angels in white races against time and death, igniting the light of hope in down came a blackbird. Volunteers from the north and south of the great river, "brothers" who spontaneously saved people, long queues of voluntary blood donation, and elderly people who donated the income from scavenging have merged into a rolling torrent to overcome catastrophic disasters, demonstrating the great power of the Chinese nation to help each other and hold hands in times of crisis. 83,988 people were rescued from the ruins, and more than 360,000 seriously wounded and sick people were treated in time, and the mortality rate and disability rate were minimized.
Don’t give up after thousands of difficulties, and fight one after another. In the decisive battle against the Tangjiashan dammed lake, the officers and men of the army fought day and night, and the threat hanging over the people of Mianyang was safely eliminated. Fighting Duwen Road, it took only three months to build the "Iron Army" to cross the collapsed mountain, miraculously opening up the "lifeline" connecting Wenchuan, Lixian and Maoxian. In the shortest time, the communication, water supply and power supply in the disaster area were rushed through, and 104 dammed lakes and 1996 earthquake-damaged reservoirs were saved. The combination of special groups, entering villages and households, leaving no dead ends and thorough epidemic prevention have realized that there is no epidemic situation after the disaster and our people are safe.
Brave, boundless love, how many epic feats and characters move the world. Teacher Tan Qianqiu protected her students with her arms at the last moment of her life; Lin Hao, a hero and teenager, carried two students out of danger with weak shoulders; The loving mother told the child under her body by SMS: "Dear baby, if you can live, you must remember that I love you"; "Police Flower" Jiang Min endured the pain of losing 10 relatives and stayed at his post for many days and nights; "Salute doll" Lang Zheng raised his tender right arm to express his gratitude at the moment of rebirth; "Ballet Girl" Li Yue used her broken limbs to fly her dream of growing up. People in capitals will always touch and inspire us and walk with us forever.
The choice between life and death, the blending of tears and sweat, has created a great spirit of earthquake relief. China’s strength is amazing, and the spirit of China has touched the world.
People who are hard to leave.
Disaster relief is to save the people, and reconstruction is for the people. Tens of millions of people are homeless, and the destroyed homes need to be rebuilt urgently. The expectations of the people are our greatest responsibility. Open granaries to help the poor, build a market and fall into the sky. Three days after the earthquake, the warehouse was opened to release grain, which calmed people’s hearts. Implement "local, nearby and scattered" resettlement to restore the family life of the affected people as soon as possible. In three months, the transitional housing problem of 4.5 million people whose houses were damaged by the disaster was solved, and more than 11.9 million people who lost their homes lived in their homes, sharing the glory of the Olympic Games with the people of the whole country. In late summer and early autumn, the "Warm Winter Action" was launched in an all-round way, and 3.99 million quilts and 4.9 million cotton-padded clothes were collected in the disaster area. The activity of "Love Helps the Orphans to celebrate the New Year" makes orphans, the elderly and the disabled no longer feel lonely, and the people in the disaster areas are safe and warm for the winter, happy and peaceful for the New Year.
The leadership of the party, the cohesion of the nation, the comprehensive national strength of the socialist motherland and the incomparable superiority of the socialist system have been fully demonstrated in times of crisis. "If one party is in trouble, all parties will support it". All provinces in the country have made great efforts to help each other, and 18 provinces and cities have provided counterpart support. Chinese compatriots gave generously, and international friends donated enthusiastically. Money, silk, clothes, tents, food and medicine, care and love from all corners of the country warm this land ravaged by earthquake disasters.
The party and government are peaceful and the people are strong. "With hands, feet and lives, great difficulties can be overcome", "Do your own work, sweat your own sweat, and do your own thing". This is the character of the people in the disaster area! Even under the rubble, the people in the disaster area strongly chose to stand; Even though there are thorns ahead, the people in the disaster area resolutely choose to move forward. Sweat dilutes tears, and the disaster area rises with infinite hope of rebirth.
All beings in front of nature
Sichuan is a magical land. Beautiful mountains and rivers, outstanding people, and beautiful things. The people of Sichuan are hardworking, intelligent, strong, tenacious and optimistic. They have created a magnificent Bashu culture and written magnificent revolutionary poems.
Nature creates a beautiful home for human beings, and nature also has great destructive power. "There is no great historical disaster that is not compensated by historical progress." At present, human beings can’t avoid the sudden attack and destruction of natural disasters, but they can get compensation from historical progress. The warning of disaster needs to be learned in reconstruction and development.
Through the disaster, we know better that human beings are the sons of nature, and they are bred, evolved and grown in the embrace of nature. No matter how wise you are, no matter how superior you are, you can never stand outside nature. You must know, respect and treat nature well. Developing oneself in harmony with nature is a difficult theme for human survival and progress.
To remember disasters, we should adhere to scientific development, respect science, follow laws, learn to act according to natural laws, improve our ability to prevent disasters, improve our ability of sustainable development, promote harmony between man and nature, better adapt to nature, and make nature better benefit mankind.
Looking back at the mountains and rivers, it is still beautiful.
When will the spring breeze green Longmen?
Post-disaster recovery and reconstruction, people-oriented, people’s livelihood first. Starting from the need, the scale of reconstruction is unprecedented, and people’s livelihood is in full swing. It is time to speed up reconstruction. Rural housing reconstruction will be completed by the end of this year, and urban housing will be completed before May next year; When the school starts next spring, all the students in the disaster area will bid farewell to the board houses and return to the spacious and bright classrooms. Basic public services such as medical care and sanitation in the disaster areas are also accelerating recovery.
Old garden heartbroken place, wicker new day and night. The smoke in Radish Village started again, Gina Qiang Village showed a new look, and the houses were completed and moved; Yingxiu primary school has a loud sound, new Beichuan middle school has started construction, and a school building has sprung up; Dujiangyan-Yingxiu Expressway was opened to traffic in both directions, and railways and highways in the disaster areas were fully restored; The production capacity of Aba Aluminum Plant has doubled, and the new plant area of Dongqi has been completed and put into production. The spirit of self-reliance, self-help, firmness and tenacity has been integrated into the land of Sichuan, and the splendid Bashu has once again presented great vitality.
Post-disaster reconstruction is to stand up in situ, but also to develop and take off, draw the most beautiful blueprint on white paper and build the most beautiful home on the ruins. We are working hard to basically complete the three-year reconstruction task in two years, so that the earthquake-stricken areas can have houses at home, schools, hospitals for treatment, towns with functions, water and electricity facilities, and roads, so that the people in the disaster areas can lead a happier and better life.
The first anniversary of "5.12" is a day of mourning, a day of strong rise, and a day of opening the future. Through the disaster, we are more determined and tenacious; After the disaster, we are more confident and self-reliant. Let’s bid farewell to sadness, take responsibility together, meet challenges and create a brand-new future.
