The government has also cancelled the requirement for a guarantor to apply for an electronic visa for travel. However, the government still requires visiting international tourists to purchase health insurance covering COVID-19 according to applicable regulations.
Shan Diaca, Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, announced in Jakarta on March 7th that after the co-ordination meeting of all relevant departments and units, all parties agreed to test the above-mentioned measures for allowing international tourists to apply for visa on arrival and entry without quarantine in Bali in advance. The list of foreign citizens who are allowed to enter the country according to the regulations is as follows: Australia, the United States, New Zealand, Britain, Germany, the Netherlands, France, Qatar, Japan, South Korea, Canada, Italy, Turkey, United Arab Emirates and Italy.
Iwawan Koser, governor of Bali, said that the decision was made at the coordination meeting held on March 4th, attended by the ministers of maritime affairs and investment coordination, health, creative economy and tourism, transportation, justice and human rights, foreign affairs, chairman of COVID-19 and the national disaster relief working group, coordinator of the COVID-19 working group, governor of Bali, commander of the ninth military region in Na, Udaja, police chief of Bali and tourism entrepreneurs.
On March 4th, Gosul said that after listening to the opinions and support of the participants on the experiment of implementing the new policy for foreign tourists, the segregation policy was cancelled, allowing international tourists to apply for visas on arrival, but they still had to abide by the health agreement. These conditions include the obligation to complete vaccination and booster before departure, negative PCR swab test, and having proof of payment to book a trip to Bali Hotel for at least 4 days. If the PCR test result is negative, tourists are allowed to go to all tourist destinations, but if COVID-19 is positive, they must be quarantined in the hotel. Especially for positive cases and elderly tourists, hospitalization will be arranged immediately and PCR swab test will be conducted on the third day. If the result is negative, you are allowed to travel in Bali.
Gosul emphasized that, according to the instructions of the minister, Bali is committed to accelerating the vaccination of intensified vaccines and striving to achieve the minimum target of 30% by March 7, 2022.
