Nearly half of China teenagers often encounter bad information on the Internet. How to take care of it?

In March 2017, the National Office of "Combating Pornography and Illegal Publications" and Tencent held the activity of "Children’s Cyber Security Course Entering the Campus" at Xiaobei Road Primary School in Yuexiu District, Guangzhou, which was welcomed by teachers and students.

  People’s vision

With the rapid development and comprehensive popularization of mobile Internet and smart devices, it is more convenient for teenagers to contact the Internet, and the age of contact with the Internet is showing a trend of younger age. Moderate use of the Internet can enrich life and relieve stress, but the social experience of teenagers is insufficient, and their network literacy and online habits are in the forming stage. How to help teenagers use the Internet healthily and effectively and guide them to actively adapt to the Internet age is an important and urgent topic.

The generation of teenagers after the Millennium are truly "Internet aborigines", and they have a natural and inseparable connection with the Internet. Internet has become the most important space for entertainment, education, self-expression and communication and interaction of this generation. At the same time, however, the rapidly developing and mixed cyberspace makes this generation of teenagers more vulnerable to physical and mental shocks and even injuries. The protection of teenagers online has become the most concerned social issue for governments, international organizations and every family.

At present, one third of the global Internet users are minors. In Britain, Canada, Czech Republic and Israel, 12-mdash; The proportion of 14-year-old children using the Internet exceeds 95%, and the proportion of children using the Internet in EU countries is mostly higher than 65%. In China, the number of netizens under the age of 19 reached 171 million, and the Internet penetration rate of minors remained above 90%. At the same time, the young age trend of minors’ first "touching the net" is obvious. Relevant statistics show that Britain has 5-mdash; More than half of the 6-year-old children have access to the Internet. The average age for Korean children to get their first smart phone is 8 years old. There are about 23 million netizens under the age of 10 in China, and more than 56% of them have been exposed to the Internet before the age of 5. These "Internet aborigines" born after the Millennium almost "surf the Internet as soon as they are literate", and the Internet has profoundly influenced the way they interact with the world.

More and more "millennials" have become "low-headed families"

With the high popularity of home broadband and hardware equipment, minors generally choose to surf the Internet at home. According to UNICEF data, in Argentina, Serbia and South Africa, more than 90% of minors surf the Internet at home; The survey of children’s online use in Britain also found that 75% of them are 9-mdash; 19-year-olds use the Internet at home; America 2— Of the 17-year-old population, 78% can surf the Internet at home, and 13% of them surf the Internet in their own rooms. According to the annual survey data of China Internet Network Information Center (CNNIC) since 2007, the proportion of minors using computers to surf the Internet in Internet cafes, schools and public places has generally decreased year by year.

The report "Investigation on Internet Use and Protection of Young Netizens in China" shows that 74.6% of young netizens in China use smart phones to surf the Internet, and 60.4% of young netizens have their own smart phones. Desktop computers rank second, and their adoption rate is about 10 percentage points lower than that of smart phones. Smart TV has become one of the main channels for teenagers to surf the Internet. Many parents also choose smart TV to accompany preschool children, but the digital gap between different regions is more obvious.

Information and communication technology has changed the way minors contact with the world, and cyberspace has attracted them greatly, so the online time has been prolonged. A study in Denmark found that as children grow up, their use of the Internet is increasing, and similar trends have appeared in other countries. In China, in recent years, the online time of minors has generally increased. The online time of primary school students is 14.9 hours per week, and that of middle school students is 22 hours per week. The online time is also increasing with age.

According to the report of the International Telecommunication Union, the main reasons for teenagers to surf the Internet include: making friends in the new environment, communicating in real time on common interests, creating and sharing original personal content, sharing music, playing games, establishing their own space, or trying new identities. Therefore, the Internet is always with them — — In their pockets or ears, or tightly held in their hands, embedded in their study and living space.

A survey of five Nordic countries shows that 9-mdash; Among 16-year-old boys, 69% use the Internet to play games, 49% download music, while girls use it to send emails (58%) and do their homework online (43%). According to the latest data of CNNIC, the Internet applications with the highest penetration rate of underage netizens in China are: instant messaging tools, search engines, online music, online videos and online games. Among them, the popularity of search engines, online music and online games among minors exceeds that of netizens as a whole, and the utilization rate of online games among middle school students is even as high as 70%.

The phenomenon of minors’ internet addiction is becoming increasingly serious.

Compared with the rapid development of cyberspace, the education and protection system for teenagers to use the internet has shown its lag and imperfection. At present, young netizens all over the world are facing the risks of contact with bad information, bad social interaction, property loss, illegal crime, internet addiction and lack of cognition.

According to statistics, 46% of young netizens in China will come into contact with bad information on the Internet almost every time or often, among which pornographic information is the most frequent type, followed by online fraud, online gambling, online abuse and intimidation. It is worth noting that teenagers often come into contact with bad information in a passive way, for example, when clicking on a web page, pictures and videos containing pornographic and violent information pop up, and when browsing information, they see indecent pictures inserted in them. There are not only illegal websites among the websites that spread bad information, but also many regular legal websites often attract attention with bad information in the form of "scratching the ball". At the same time, the uploaders, websites or their host service providers of such content are often not in their own countries, which further increases the difficulty of governance in various countries and regions. On the other hand, the bad information on the internet has a serious negative impact on the concept and psychology of minors, and even leads to crime.

According to internet society of china’s Investigation Report on the Protection of Internet Users’ Rights and Interests in China, Internet users suffered economic losses of 133 yuan per capita due to spam, fraudulent information and personal information disclosure, with a total loss of about 91.5 billion yuan. In addition, teenagers are increasingly dependent on the Internet.

In addition, the phenomenon of internet addiction is also on the rise around the world. Many studies have shown that there is a high correlation between interactive internet use behavior and internet addiction, such as chatting through instant messaging tools or playing online games, which makes users more addicted to it. Therefore, in the era of mobile internet characterized by interaction and participation, with the rapid penetration of the network into younger groups, the problem of internet addiction among minors is becoming increasingly serious.

The academic circles believe that teenagers should spend no more than 1.5 hours a day and no more than 10 hours a week on the Internet, while teenagers generally spend too much time online: 30% of minors in South Korea spend more than 2 hours a day on the Internet, while primary school students in China spend 1.5 times as much time online as this standard, and middle school students even spend twice as much time online. The data also shows that China’s 6-mdash; 47.9% of 11-year-old young netizens usually spend more time online than expected, 12-mdash; Among the 18-year-old young netizens, 60.8% want to surf the Internet when they have free time, which generally shows strong network dependence. Immersion in the online world often brings instant pleasure experience to minors, but their anxiety and fear also increase with the increase of online time, so they are often in a state of frustration and impatience. At the same time, excessive internet access may also strengthen personal loneliness and cause social retreat.

Family factors are the key factors that affect minors’ internet addiction. However, many parents and guardians regard mobile phones and computers as "electronic nannies" and neglect the care and education of their children. Teenagers who don’t feel the warmth of their families are more likely to seek spiritual sustenance in the online world, further causing a vicious circle.

Strengthen the cultivation of skills and literacy in using digital tools.

How to protect minors’ online safety? At present, there is no quick answer, which requires all sectors of society to take countermeasures and persevere.

First of all, governments should promote the construction and improvement of relevant legal systems in terms of content, channels, platforms and operations as soon as possible according to the characteristics and development laws of information and communication technologies. Relevant laws and regulations should clearly define the responsible subject for protecting minors’ online safety, clearly define the scope of application and punishment measures, and provide reliable protection for minors’ online activities.

Among them, the Internet regulatory authorities should constantly upgrade and update technical supervision means, and guide relevant websites to be equipped with age verification systems or identity verification mechanisms, and at the same time establish a rapid reporting and handling mechanism to promptly punish illegal and illegal behaviors that endanger minors’ online safety. Internet companies and related industries should conduct self-examination and self-examination, eliminate pornography, violence, vulgarity, gambling, fraud and other bad information content, and purify the Internet environment; All kinds of websites should set a higher default privacy level for the collection, processing and storage of minors’ personal data to protect minors’ information from illegal collection and use.

Enterprises can adopt appropriate technical measures to encrypt specific information content according to age, or add access age authentication mechanism according to relevant laws and regulations; At the same time, provide concise reporting tools, delete bad information in time, and transfer information suspected of online fraud, abduction and sexual crimes to public security and relevant law enforcement departments. Enterprises should also support the research and development of parental monitoring tools to help parents intervene in their children’s online time, or limit the consumption of certain content and services by minors, or control the objects they talk to online.

In the new scientific and technological environment, mastering the skills of using digital tools and having information and media literacy will become the basic survival skills of citizens. Therefore, teaching students how to use the Internet reasonably, legally and moderately is a task that the education sector must shoulder at present. Teachers should update their knowledge system as soon as possible, teach basic knowledge of network security and self-protection in relevant classes, and encourage students to actively seek help from teachers and schools when encountering difficulties, so as to become a trusted social support force for minors. Teachers should also regularly carry out psychological counseling against cyber bullying to prevent students from participating in cyber bullying or becoming targets of bullying; Once the cyberbullying incident is discovered, the school should intervene and stop it in time, and communicate with parents. For serious cyberbullying incidents, it should report to the police in time. Primary and secondary schools should gradually offer network security courses and media literacy courses suitable for students of different ages, systematically teach the knowledge and skills of receiving, analyzing, evaluating and creating information, and gradually improve the media security literacy, media interaction literacy, media learning literacy and media cultural literacy of minors.

Faced with the new thing of the Internet, parents can no longer rely on their own experience to guide their children as in traditional families. Instead, they should first take the initiative to learn relevant network security knowledge, be strict with themselves, reasonably arrange online time, and set an example by not browsing or spreading bad information.

Parents should also actively guide and educate their children to surf the Internet from several aspects: in terms of time, strictly control the total length of time for children to surf the Internet, and set the account password of internet equipment or install software to limit the time for surfing the Internet; In terms of content, help children find healthy and suitable websites, such as regularly checking the websites that children usually browse, evaluating the contents of websites, or installing parental monitoring tools on the basis of full communication with children; In the aspect of social networking, children are encouraged to explore the new world by using the Internet, but they are firmly opposed to meeting netizens offline, and are informed of the serious danger of this behavior, so as to grasp the real situation of their friends in social accounts at present, and often communicate their online experience with children.

Many countries have snapped up cheap waste oil in China, which is out of stock all over the world. Should it be included in strategic materials?

The demand for China’s "gutter oil" is increasing in the United States, Europe and Singapore, mainly for the development of biofuels. However, the global demand for biofuels is huge, and even if all the waste edible oil in China is utilized, it cannot be fully met.

Many countries have snapped up cheap waste oil in China, which is out of stock all over the world. Should it be included in strategic materials?

According to the customs data of China, in 2023, China exported more than 2 million tons of waste edible oil, accounting for more than half of the total domestic production, a record high. Since last year, China has become the world’s largest exporter of waste edible oil. From January to July this year, China has exported 1.58 million tons of waste edible oil, an increase from 1.02 million tons in the same period last year. According to a report released by the General Administration of Customs of China, in July, China exported 176,800 tons of waste edible oil, and the main importing countries included the United States, Singapore and Indonesia.

Many countries have snapped up cheap waste oil in China, which is out of stock all over the world. Should it be included in strategic materials?

Waste edible oil imported from these countries is mainly used to produce biofuels. Whether it is ester-based biodiesel, hydrocarbon-based biodiesel or sustainable aviation fuel, waste edible oil is a key raw material. Biofuels are favored by countries because of their renewability and environmental friendliness. Waste oils and fats will produce greenhouse gases in the process of natural consumption, but if recycled, it will not only produce economic value but also reduce carbon emissions. For example, the carbon emission reduction effect of ester-based biodiesel is about 60% to 70%, while that of hydrocarbon-based biodiesel can reach about 80%.

The International Air Transport Association requires the aviation industry to achieve zero net carbon emissions by 2050, and stipulates that aircraft should be powered by 100% sustainable aviation fuel, hydrogen or batteries. China’s waste edible oil is exported not only directly, but also in the form of refined biodiesel. In 2023, China’s biodiesel exports to the EU reached an all-time high of 1.8 million tons, of which the Netherlands was the largest importer, followed by Belgium and Spain.

Lin Yihua: Rene Liu will not play Zhang Ailing.

Rene Liu once played Zhang Ailing in She Comes from the Sea.

Following the great success of dramas such as Half Life and Madame Bovary in entering the mainland drama market, Lin Yihua, a famous Hong Kong director, revealed that Zhang Ailing’s little reunion would be put on the stage next. It is said that Lin Yihua is a fan of Zhang, and he adapted the Guan Jinpeng version of the film Red Rose and White Rose in 1994, and won the Golden Horse Award for Best Adapted Screenplay.

Hong Kong director Lin Yihua recently arrived in Shanghai with actors David Wang and Yinxuan Xie to perform the drama "Life and Survival of Gorgeous Office Workers". Lin Yihua, a prolific producer, told reporters that besides inviting Zhan Ruiwen and Rene Liu to create a play for the Shanghai World Expo, a stage version of little reunion is also being planned and is expected to be released in November.

The actor of "Jiu Li" is undecided.

Little reunion, Zhang Ailing’s posthumous work, was published this year, and Lin Yihua vacillated between A Dream of Red Mansions and little reunion when planning her performance plan for the second half of the year, so she sent emails to ask her friends for advice. According to the reply, he finally decided to choose "little reunion". "In my opinion, without all the topics shrouded in this novel, Zhang Ailing’s life actually seems to be floating in this world. The novel played a symphony of life, and finally it was the sad music like the Hu Qin, which was disturbing. This gave me a starting point for music. If I did, I might divide the whole play into several movements, such as sacrifice, dedication and return … "

When asked if Rene Liu, who once played Zhang Ailing in the TV series "She Comes from the Sea", would be invited to play the heroine, Lin Yihua thought for a moment and said with a smile, "I have invited her to do another play with me, as well as Zhan Ruiwen in the Hong Kong drama circle. We plan to bring this play to the Shanghai World Expo. As for the content of the title of the play, it is still confidential. Let’s call it’ Mystery Lady’ for the time being. " At present, Lin Yihua is discussing copyright issues with copyright owners, and the actors will still be his regular cast, such as "David" David Wang and "Sophie" Yinxuan Xie in "Gorgeous Office Workers", which are scheduled to premiere in Hong Kong and Taiwan in November, but when they will come to the mainland has not been determined.

It won’t be a "happy reunion"

Someone next to me said that many people think little reunion is not easy to read. Lin Yihua nodded and said, "It is a bit, but I read it for a third and found the password." Lin Yihua, who never follows the rules in filming, said that the play will definitely not follow the narrative order of the novel, but it will definitely extract the most important characters and story clues. "The most important thing is that Zhang Ailing and our present era can overlap."

According to Lin Yihua’s current conception, the stage version of little reunion will not be completely arranged according to the plot of the novel, nor will it rely on the direction of Zhang Ailing’s autobiography. "What matters is not to make little reunion a’ happy reunion’. Characters will jump in and out, for example, in some scenes, several different actors will play the role of Zhang Ailing’s father, even without excluding actresses. I hope that after the stage play is staged, the audience who have never read the novel will want to read the book, and the audience who have read the book will want to read it again. " (He Bian)

Inside story of Israel’s support for Syrian rebels: providing weapons costs $75 per person per month.

Reference message networkReported on September 14th.According to the bimonthly website of Foreign Policy of the United States reported on September 6, more than 20 commanders and ordinary members of at least 12 anti-government armed groups in southern Syria said that Israel has secretly armed and funded these organizations in recent years to prevent the extremist organization "Islamic State" militants from occupying positions near the Israeli border.

According to reports, the military equipment transferred by Israel in July this year included assault rifles, machine guns, mortar launchers and transport vehicles. The Israeli security services transported these weapons through three passes connecting the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights with Syria. Israel also uses these checkpoints to deliver humanitarian aid to the residents of southern Syria who have suffered from years of civil war.

The picture shows the Israeli armored forces deployed in the Golan Heights.

Syrian rebels and local media said that Israel also paid salaries to rebels (about $75 per person per month) and provided additional funds. The rebels used the money to buy weapons on the Syrian black market.

These payments and the services received by Israel in return have caused the militants to expect that if the troops loyal to the Syrian government try to advance into southern Syria, Israel will intervene.

This summer, when the Syrian government forces supported by Russian air power did so, Israel did not intervene, making the rebels feel betrayed.

Y, a member of the Knights of the Golan, said: "This is a lesson we will never forget about Israel. It doesn’t care about … … These people. It doesn’t care about humans. It only cares about its own interests. "

According to reports, Israel tried to keep its relations with these organizations secret.

According to the report, compared with the amount of weapons and funds provided by Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Turkey and the United States and other countries involved in this seven-year civil war, the amount provided by Israel is small. Even when Israel’s aid program peaked earlier this year, rebel commanders complained that the aid was not enough.

However, Israel’s assistance is important for several reasons. This marks another way for Israel to try to prevent Iran from consolidating its position in Syria. Israel also launched air strikes against Iranian military bases in Syria and exerted political pressure through Russia.

Israel’s aid also raises questions about the balance of power in Syria when the civil war finally subsided. There is a great possibility that Syria will become a flashpoint of conflict between Israel and Iran when the Iranian army, which helped the Syrian government defeat the rebels, has no intention of withdrawing its troops from Syria.

According to the report, a spokesman for the Israeli Embassy in Washington declined to comment on this article.

The picture shows an Israeli tank on standby in the Syrian-Israeli border area.

According to reports, since 2013, Israel has provided weapons to anti-government armed groups allied with the Syrian Free Army, including some armed factions operating in Quneitra, Deraa and rural areas in southern Damascus. The weapons transferred at that time were mainly M16 assault rifles made in the United States. Later, most of the weapons provided by Israel to the militants were not American weapons (apparently to cover up the sources of aid), including some guns and ammunition confiscated by Israel in 2009 and transported from Iran to Hezbollah in Lebanon.

Aid to these organizations remained stable for some time, but it increased significantly last year. Israel has gone from supporting hundreds of fighters to helping anti-government organizations with thousands of members. The increase in aid coincides with a broader change in Israel’s policy toward Syria. After appealing to the United States and Russia, but failing to reach an agreement to allow Iranian-backed militia groups to leave southern Syria, Israel adopted a more aggressive policy. Its air force began to strike deeper into Syria, not only against individual batches of weapons shipped from Iran to Hezbollah, but also against bases all over Iran.

According to the report, two Israeli-backed organizations have been publicly confirmed, including the "Knights of the Golan" organization based in Tahaisheb, the border town of Quneitra, and the "Omar bin khattab" brigade based in Beit Kin, a town near Mount Hermon.

Unlike other foreign forces that support the Syrian opposition, Israel has made little effort to organize and consolidate its aid program. On the contrary, it obviously relies on the relationship established with individual commanders and provides them with assistance directly.

The picture shows the wreckage of an Iranian drone shot down by the Israeli army.

Anti-government militants in southern Syria say these commanders will contact Israeli officials by telephone and occasionally meet them in the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights. When these commanders change organizations and locations, Israel’s aid will change accordingly. On the other hand, when these commanders are killed or ousted because of internal power struggles, Israel will stop providing assistance to their former factions.

Knights of the Golan is a favorite organization of Israel. Members of the faction said that the organization added hundreds of fighters last year because of increased Israeli funding. It also distributes weapons provided by Israel to other organizations. This makes the organization have great influence in Quneitra and nearby Dar ‘a province.

Israel has also provided fire support to armed groups fighting against local branches of the Islamic State in the Yarmouk Basin. Local armed groups, media reporters and residents said that when the "Islamic State" organization was fighting other anti-government armed forces, the Israeli army launched a drone attack on the commander of the organization and launched a precision missile strike on the personnel, fortifications and vehicles of the organization. When the rebels launched an attack on the Syrian government forces, Israel did not provide similar fire support.

The report commented that due to Israel’s humanitarian and military assistance, many residents in southern Syria gradually regarded it as an ally. Israel promotes its "good neighbor" plan in Arabic, including humanitarian operations in southern Syria and the treatment of some Syrian people in Israeli hospitals.

A few months ago, Y, a militant of the "Knights of the Golan" organization, said: "Israel is the only country that has interests, a little humanity and provides assistance to civilians in the region."

However, as that Syrian government force regained control of more and more Syrian territory with the help of Russian and Iranian army, Israel began to seek other ways to safeguard its interests in the border area.

In July this year, Israeli officials apparently reached an understanding with Russia to allow government troops to return to the western part of Dar ‘a province and Quneitra, which are adjacent to the Golan Heights. According to reports, in exchange, Russia promised not to allow Iranian-backed militia groups to enter within 80 kilometers of the Golan Heights, and would not begin to obstruct Israel from attacking Iranian targets in various parts of Syria.

Even after the Syrian government forces began to launch an offensive against southern Syria, many Syrians in the region still held the hope that Israel would at least prevent the Syrian government from retaking the neighboring province of Quneitra. Thousands of people fled to the area adjacent to the Golan Heights, but Israel did not intervene to protect them.

A local community leader in the western part of Dar ‘a province said that he soon realized that it was a mistake to rely on Israel.

"Believe me, Israel will regret its silence about what happened in southern Syria," he said. People in our town and some neighboring towns have barely reached a reconciliation with the regime, but this reconciliation will affect Israel in the near future. "

According to the report, when the Syrian government forces approached, some anti-government militants contacted their Israeli acquaintances and sought asylum for fear that the government forces would retaliate. Israeli officials responded by allowing a few anti-government commanders and their immediate families to enter Israel on the night of July 22. Others were turned away.

The whereabouts of these commanders and their relatives are still unknown. Syrians say that some people are said to be in Israel and others are in Jordan. A former commander informed his subordinates that he had arrived in Turkey.

As for ordinary combatants, most people choose to stay at home and surrender to the government instead of fleeing to Idlib, the only remaining enclave of anti-government forces. Some have been arrested, apparently for cooperating with Israel, while others have joined pro-government militias or Syrian government forces. (Compile/Yan Fang)

Hundreds of billions of dollars have been invested in loneliness. Why is Baidu Zhijia overtaken by Huawei corners?

Recently, Xia Yiping, CEO of Extreme Yue Automobile, was not surprisingly dead in an interview. He said that Huawei’s investment in smart driving is 10 billion, while Baidu’s investment in smart driving is 100 billion, which means that Baidu’s investment in smart driving is ten times that of Huawei. Of course, it is self-evident.

Many people are shocked by this news. Most people know that Baidu is really doing smart driving. A few people also know that Baidu has its own car. Of course, the car is also using Baidu’s solution. But it is estimated that not many people will think that Baidu’s investment will be greater than Huawei’s. After all, Huawei’s products are everywhere, and the market influence is huge. Baidu’s products are much rarer, and its influence is even more incomparable.

Baidu and Huawei, who is more intelligent in driving and who invests more? Let the Kung Fu car show you around.

(1) 100 billion investment is a bit empty?

Let’s take a look at the historical process of intellectual driving between the two sides, and then combine their R&D investment to see what the two companies have done in recent years.

Baidu’s intelligent driving research and development began in 2013. In this year, Baidu began to do open source projects and began to make autonomous driving solutions. From the perspective of "qualifications" alone, Baidu is indeed one of the earliest enterprises in China to do smart driving, which is basically synchronized with Tesla and Google abroad. In 2021, Baidu defined three directions for its own smart driving, namely, providing smart driving solutions to OEMs, building their own cars, and then developing and sharing unmanned vehicles.

According to the public financial report, from 2013 to 2023, Baidu’s total R&D investment was 167.2 billion. If 100 billion was invested in smart driving, it means that the R&D investment of smart driving accounted for 59.8% of Baidu’s R&D investment.

How can I put it? This data is not impossible. After all, most of the money earned by Baidu in recent years has really been invested in the two directions of smart driving and AI. However, considering Baidu’s own business, I personally think that the proportion of investment in smart driving alone should not exceed 50%. More than 50 billion may be there, and 100 billion feels a bit empty.

Huawei’s investment in smart driving is relatively clear. When Huawei’s new smart car solution brand "Gankun" was released in April this year, Jin Yuzhi, CEO of Huawei’s smart car solution BU, once introduced that the department was established in 2019, and the accumulated R&D investment in five years exceeded 30 billion (about 6 billion per year). This data is still relatively credible.

Of course, if you want to talk about Huawei’s R&D investment in other areas, such as big models and AI, it’s hard to say whether R&D funds are included in smart driving investment. Anyway, it’s a muddle.

However, at least one thing is certain. The investment of Huawei Smart Drive and Baidu Smart Drive should be in an order of magnitude, and it will never be as bad as ten times. Because Baidu started earlier, it is still possible to invest more.

(2) What is the difference in output?

Let’s just say that Baidu has really invested more. Next, let’s talk about output, and the difference between the two may be a bit big.

When Huawei first entered the field of intelligent driving, it put forward its own goals, hoping to be Bosch in the era of electrification and provide a full set of intelligent solutions for OEMs. However, the effect is not ideal, most enterprises hold a wait-and-see attitude, and the promotion is not smooth. So Huawei made a smart car selection project, that is, cooperated with the OEM, but Huawei defined the smart car and gave the core intelligent hardware and software.

After several years of development, Huawei has formed a complete set of industrial chains. Needless to say, intelligent driving technology, the system has developed to the third generation, supporting intelligent assisted driving in the whole scene and intelligent parking in the whole scene, and then it can realize intelligent driving from parking space to parking space. In order to better realize intelligent driving, Huawei has also built its own high-performance motor and a special Turing intelligent chassis, which can realize full-dimensional perception, 3D control and intelligent collaboration.

Let’s put it this way: even the old rivals want to purchase Huawei’s motors. Recently, the independent BU department has been valued at 115 billion, and major car companies are scrambling to invest. Huawei is even the first company to beat down the price of lidar. It can be said that Huawei’s investment in smart driving has been richly rewarded and it has its own intelligent industrial chain.

Baidu’s smart driving output is not satisfactory. Since 2015, Baidu has found a lot of well-known car companies such as Daimler, BMW, Ford and Volvo to cooperate. Many domestic cars have also "tested the water", but the effect is not obvious. Cars equipped with Baidu Zhijia are rarely publicized as their own "business cards".

One of the most famous is probably Weimar, who has been holding Baidu for a long time and hasn’t done it yet. In the end, Baidu couldn’t help but make a gathering, and there was basically no noise. Including now, it has been listed for half a year, and the highest monthly sales volume is only 1143 vehicles.

The only achievement that can be achieved is probably that the radish runs fast. However, in terms of completion, it still only supports getting on the bus at a specific location, and the coverage is limited. There is still a long way to go before it can truly replace the online car. The biggest advantage is that it is cheap, but this cheapness is actually based on the "capital operation" of Internet companies. I hope to achieve market monopoly, and then I will serve as a "platform". Didi and Meituan are all like this.

However, it is hard to say whether the radish will eventually become Didi, Meituan, or Xiaohuangche and Ruixing.

(3) Hardware companies and Internet companies are very different?

The difference between Baidu Smart Drive and Huawei Smart Drive is also the difference between two different companies to a large extent. Baidu is a typical Internet company, while Huawei is closer to a hardware company.

The characteristics of software companies are that they like to invest early, get high returns, and pursue a monopoly. Like Baidu, the earliest money was made by being a search engine. When Google withdraws from the China market, Baidu will become a monopoly. Since then, it has been making big profits, and on this basis, it has expanded the business of encyclopedia, knowledge, post bar and so on, forming a complete ecological circle.

But this has also led to a problem. Baidu lacks the ability to actually make products. Baidu has been doing smart driving for so many years. The car is from the main engine factory, the laser radar is from the supplier, the chip is from NVIDIA, and the smart card is also bought. Speaking of things that belong to Baidu, it is that set of algorithms.

Therefore, Baidu is very passive, and it can’t control how much the car sells. Baidu can’t form a monopoly in the field of smart driving, and its algorithm can’t sell at a unique high price. For so many years, Baidu’s smart driving business has been losing money. Even many engineers in the factory finally "ran away" with the main engine factory.

Huawei started out as a communication equipment. Although it also has Internet genes, it is closer to hardware companies. Therefore, we can see that every step Huawei takes will strengthen its strength. The car is defined by its own design, the laser radar is its own, the chip is its own, the power card is its own, the motor and chassis are also its own, and it can even be sold outside.

This has formed a virtuous circle, and the cost of Huawei’s smart driving is getting lower and lower, gradually flattening the R&D investment and forming a positive cycle. The worse news is that with Huawei becoming the representative of China Zhijia, Baidu’s investment for so many years will probably be wasted.

(4) Kung Fu is angry

Baidu really started to do smart driving earlier, and invested more probability than Huawei. However, from the perspective of "output", Huawei’s achievements are even more dazzling. The average transaction price of a model developed by Huawei like this exceeds 500,000, and the monthly sales volume is nearly 20,000 units. The monthly revenue of this car alone is in the hundreds of billions, and Baidu only envies it. Not to mention that Huawei BU is independent, and it can earn tens of billions just by selling shares.

In the final analysis, consumers still look at products, not how early you do it and how much you invest. If you spend more money, you will definitely do better. How can domestic cars surpass joint venture cars? The earning power is far from perfect. The same money depends on who can spend more on the cutting edge, which better reflects the ability of the enterprise. What do you think?

How to properly dispose of OBD on trucks after the State Council’s exposure?

[Truck House Original] This year’s major events in the freight industry have continued. In addition to elimination, what everyone recently discussed is that the national five diesel trucks should be installed.On-line monitoring equipment(OBD) thing. But in some places,Forcing truck drivers to install at their own expenseOBDThe Chinese government network subsequently exposed this incident.

How to properly dispose of OBD on trucks after the State Council's exposure?

Recently, the official website of the Chinese government issued a document to inform about the supervision of the compulsory installation of remote online monitoring equipment by truck drivers in Xingtai City, Hebei Province.

How to properly dispose of OBD on trucks after the State Council's exposure?

The investigation by the inspection team shows that:

1. Longyao County will install OBD as a heavy-duty diesel vehicle.Preconditions for the inspection of operating vehicles, require heavy diesel fleet or owners to provide OBD installation receipts and certificates of relevant companies before they can apply for operating licenses.

2. Xingtai Eco-environmental Protection Bureau designated 9 operators to install OBD services, and the installation cost of each set of equipment. From 1600 yuan to 2650 yuan. And the charge management is not standardized. No invoice will be provided after charging.. By October 16th, the above nine operators had installed OBD for 25,247 trucks, with a charge of 39,615,400 yuan.

How to properly dispose of OBD on trucks after the State Council's exposure?

Before the State Council’s exposure, the installation of OBD on trucks was always a hot topic of dispute among card friends. Before that, the author wrote an article (Review: Is OBD installed on trucks for fines? Don’t be silly, these questions are the focus), and wrote some questions about the current card friends.

Generally speaking, there are two parts that are most controversial about the installation of OBD.One is the problem of charging mentioned above, and the other is whether it is legal for some places to force truck drivers to install OBD at their own expense by using annual inspection and new car licensing as preconditions.

How to properly dispose of OBD on trucks after the State Council's exposure?

● Is there a standard for installing OBD with a price difference of nearly 2000 yuan?

At present, Shanghai, Shandong Liaocheng, Weifang and many other places require the diesel trucks of National 4 or National 5 to be equipped with OBD, but they are all free, although there is a time limit for free. But in Henan, trucks must be equipped with OBD equipment, and different places charge different fees.

fromLuohe City Eco-environment Bureau announced earlier.According to the information of the vehicle-mounted terminal construction enterprise for remote online monitoring of OBD in Heshi, the price of installing OBD is mostly 1420 yuan.

How to properly dispose of OBD on trucks after the State Council's exposure?

However, a card friend left a message saying that the price of installation in each place is different.About 1000-3000 yuan, which means that the price difference between high and low is about 2000 yuan. This money is not a small expense for card friends, and it may be a family’s monthly expenses.

Why do the charges vary from place to place? Why is the price difference of OBD installation so big? Are there any relevant laws and regulations that explain the charges? These are all concerns of truck owners.

How to properly dispose of OBD on trucks after the State Council's exposure?

● Do not force drivers to install OBD in some places where the annual review and new car registration are blocked.

In addition to charging, the reason why truck owners are most resistant to installing OBD is that in some places, drivers are forced to install OBD at their own expense with various preconditions, such as no annual inspection, no new car license and no road transport certificate, and the general self-funded expenses are not low.

The following are some card friends’ messages:

How to properly dispose of OBD on trucks after the State Council's exposure?

How to properly dispose of OBD on trucks after the State Council's exposure?

How to properly dispose of OBD on trucks after the State Council's exposure?

In addition, a letter sent to the owner by Puyang City Ecological Environment Bureau also made it clear."Vehicles that are dismantled, modified and not required to install and use OBD will not be able to be examined annually."

How to properly dispose of OBD on trucks after the State Council's exposure?

We all know that 2020 is a crucial year to win the blue sky defense war. Therefore, in terms of vehicle exhaust emissions, the state has increased its control. Therefore, it is understandable that the state requires vehicles to be equipped with OBD, so as to monitor illegal vehicles and reduce environmental pollution.

But it should be noted that some placesIs there any legal and regulatory basis for forcing truck drivers to install OBD at their own expense, based on annual inspection, licensing of new cars and not being allowed to go on the road?Otherwise, just a word and a document from the relevant departments will make all truck drivers pay a large sum of money to install OBD, so that everyone will be willing to install it.

As we can see, the freight chaos in Xingtai exposed by the State Council involves the problems of charging, charging without invoicing and forcing drivers to install OBD at their own expense with preconditions, which has shown that the state is not allowed to do this.

● Postscript

The freight chaos in Xingtai has been exposed in the State Council, and the problem of local truck owners has been solved. However, there are still many restrictions on the installation of OBD in trucks in many places in China. Can the exposure of the State Council be a warning to other places? (Text/Gao Li Min)
